Dave Ruby

Dave Ruby was hired by The Bank of Houston in late 2021 to help expand the Bank's small business lending presence in the St. Louis region as well as on a national scale. Ruby brings more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry. He is an experienced SBA lender utilizing the 7a and 504 loan programs to help enhance the financial position of mid-sized businesses and commercial clients. He has been serving the St. Louis market throughout his entire career. Ruby earned a B.S. degree in General Business Administration, with cum laude honors, from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville while beginning his career in banking. He was also named as one of St. Louis' Top 40 Under 40 by the St. Louis Business Journal in 2017. Ruby also serves on the Loan Committee for the Economic Development Council of St. Charles County, helping to approve SBA 504 loans within the St. Louis/St. Charles region. Ruby, a native of Upstate New York, now lives in Eureka, MO with his wife, Kelly, and three children: Joe, Nora, and Rachel.

Brian McCarthy

Brian McCarthy currently serves as Managing Director of Lending overseeing all facets of lending from sales to origination to closing and servicing. Brian joined the Bank in December of 2021 and brings over 13 years of Banking experience across multi banking institutions with a strong background in credit and sales. Previously named one of the “Best Bankers” in St. Louis. Brian has a bachelor’s degree in finance from Mizzou and an MBA from Webster University. He currently resides in St. Louis, MO with his wife and three daughters.

Alexandra Young Wood

Alexandra is currently a commercial lender who joined the Bank of Houston in July of 2022. She assists with SBA and conventional financing options including commercial real estate loans for owner-occupied and investment properties, and lines of credit. She began her banking career as a commercial credit analyst, which has provided expertise in financial analysis, cashflow modeling, and risk mitigation. Alexandra studied at The University of Missouri, Columbia and has her bachelor’s degree in quantitative economics with minors in business administration and Spanish language. She currently resides in Eureka, MO with her husband Collin.

Nabil Cabbabe

Chief Executive Officer

Nabil Cabbabe is the Chief Executive Officer of The Bank of Houston and brings more than 30 years of banking experience to his role. Throughout his career, he has been committed to helping business owners access the capital and financial resources they need to build and grow successful businesses.
Nabil has held leadership and commercial lending positions with multiple lending institutions over the span of his career and has been a strong advocate for SBA lending for more than 10 years. Nabil also understands entrepreneurship from personal experience via his share of ownership of a local gymnastics business. Leveraging this experience has allowed him to truly understand the Banking needs of a small business.
Nabil currently resides in the St Louis area with his wife and enjoys spending time with his 3 adult children.
